Aircraft Sheet Metal & Structural Fabricator

Position Overview

Delivering delicate, high-value aircraft components requires a logistics leader who understands the stakes. We are hiring a Shipping Manager to spearhead our outbound logistics, custom crating, and freight operations.

You will lead the final step of our manufacturing pipeline, ensuring our precision-engineered flight assemblies are packaged securely, documented flawlessly, and shipped safely to aviation customers worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Outbound Logistics Leadership: Manage end-to-end shipping schedules, freight carrier selection, and dock operations for custom aircraft parts and assemblies.

  • Custom Aerospace Crating: Oversee the design and build of secure, custom wooden crates and protective packaging tailored for delicate airframe parts and components.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Generate Bills of Lading (BOL), dangerous goods documentation, chain of custody records, and shipping manifests.

  • Carrier Negotiations: Partner with freight carriers, logistics providers, and hot-shot couriers to negotiate optimal freight rates and transit times.

  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Work closely with our shop leaders and purchasing team to align shipping dock priorities with master production schedules.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years in logistics, freight management, or shipping leadership (manufacturing context required; aerospace experience a plus).

  • Certified or experienced in forklift operations, overhead crane rigging, and heavy freight securing.

  • Strong digital proficiency with logistics management software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with top-tier organizational and negotiation skills.
