Project Manager – Water / Wastewater

Award-Winning Civil Engineering Firm | Greater Chicago Area | $110,000–$145,000 Base + Bonus

An award-winning civil engineering consulting firm with more than 50 years of industry success is seeking a Project Manager – Water / Wastewater to join its growing municipal infrastructure team in the Greater Chicago region.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity with a highly respected firm known for long-term stability, strong employee retention, and a collaborative culture that invests heavily in professional growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and client communication
  • Lead and mentor engineering staff
  • Support business development and municipal client relationships
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 8+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills

Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000–$145,000 depending on experience, project leadership background, and technical expertise Additional Compensation: Performance bonuses, strong benefits package, and long-term growth opportunity
