Confidential Opportunity: Commercial Framing Materials Estimator
Full-Time | Salary Starting at $55,000+ (DOE) Location: Southern Wisconsin (Confidential Employer)

Position Summary
The Commercial Framing Materials Estimator plays a critical role in supporting commercial construction projects by producing accurate material take-offs, reviewing construction documents, and collaborating closely with sales and project teams. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed building material take-offs for commercial framing projects in compliance with company standards and local building codes
Review construction documents to identify required materials and ensure bid accuracy
Identify and correct potential inaccuracies in material lists prior to proposal submission
Prepare complete take-off documentation to support contractor bids and proposals
Partner closely with outside sales representatives on structural and material-related aspects of projects
Follow up on take-off status and assist with selling, project coordination, and customer support
Provide data and documentation to support knowledge transfer and internal systems
Assist in training contractors on specifications, material usage, and best practices
Maintain and enhance estimating and take-off software programs
Review actual versus estimated material usage upon project completion
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of education in Architectural Design (or comparable degree) or equivalent hands-on industry experience
Strong understanding of construction plans, building design, and construction terminology
Knowledge of structural systems, engineered wood products, I-joists, and engineered layouts
Familiarity with local and regional building codes
Proficiency in basic mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
Comfortable managing short-duration deadlines
Professional demeanor and attention to detail
