Before the rebuild can start, you'll set up containment, remove and package regulated materials, and leave the work area clean, cleared, and ready for the reconstruction crew. If you're safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a respirator and full PPE, this is a long-term career move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package, label, and load asbestos waste for disposal, and help keep waste records accurate
  • Inspect, wear, and maintain PPE and respiratory protection, and follow all personal and equipment decontamination procedures
  • Support air monitoring and clearance, and complete daily logs and job documentation
  • Assist with selective demolition, lead and mold remediation, and other restoration work as assigned
  • Protect occupied homes and job sites, communicate professionally with property owners and tenants, and leave work areas clean every day
  • Load, clean, and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Follow OSHA, EPA, and state asbestos rules (WA L&I / DOSH, Oregon DEQ / Oregon OSHA, and Idaho requirements)

Required Qualifications and Credentials

  • Current asbestos worker certification for the state where you'll work (WA L&I Asbestos Worker, Oregon DEQ Asbestos Abatement Worker, or AHERA-accredited Asbestos Abatement Worker training for Idaho), or willing to obtain before starting asbestos work, paid training provided
  • 1+ year of asbestos abatement, demolition, restoration, or construction experience preferred; we will train the right person
  • Able to pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test, and wear a respirator and full PPE for extended periods
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders and scaffolding, and work in hot, tight, or confined spaces
  • A valid driver's license is required; driving to job sites is an essential function of the role, and the driving record must meet company insurance requirements.
  • Asbestos supervisor certification, EPA RRP, OSHA 10, and IICRC certification (AMRT or WRT) a plus
