Associate Attorney-Medical Malpractice Firm-(Plaintiff) 

Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-Office) Practice Area: Medical Malpractice Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 Base + 3.5% of Attorney Fees

The Opportunity

We are a legal recruiting firm representing a highly reputable and successful California practice in a confidential search for an experienced Associate Attorney. This firm is recognized for its excellence in the field and provides a sophisticated environment for a seasoned litigator who thrives in the discovery and settlement phases of a case.

This is an ideal role for an attorney who prefers a high-earning potential and a structured, professional environment over the unpredictability of a trial schedule. The firm provides an exceptional support staff and a streamlined workflow, ensuring you have the resources needed to succeed.

The Role & Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Oversee a manageable and high-quality caseload of 12–16 assigned cases per year.

  • Mastery of Discovery: Focus on the strategic development of cases through the discovery phase.

  • Virtual Depositions: Conduct approximately 99% of depositions virtually, maximizing efficiency and minimizing travel.

  • Resolution-Focused: Achieve results through high-level negotiation; 99% of cases are settled before trial, and this role does not require trial attendance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of litigation experience and active California Bar membership.

  • Deposition Expertise: Must have elite deposition skills. Applicants will be asked to provide deposition examples or transcripts as part of the vetting process.

  • Schedule: In-office Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with some flexibility offered).

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers a lucrative and transparent pay structure designed to reward successful case outcomes:

  • Base Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience).

  • Incentive Structure: 3.5% of attorney fees earned from cases assigned to the attorney.
