Estimator – Steel Erection Company
Looking for a detail-oriented Estimator with at least 3 years of experience in structural steel or related construction estimating.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
Perform take-offs and create detailed cost estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metals
Solicit and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Prepare proposals and bid packages for commercial and industrial projects
Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans
Track and maintain current pricing and industry trends to ensure accurate cost forecasting
Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed
Assist in change order pricing and budget updates throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience as an estimator in the steel erection, structural steel, or general construction field
Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to read blueprints and structural drawings
