Junior Estimator – Interior Construction
A respected and growing General Contractor is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team in the DC area. This company takes pride in its strong culture, quality projects, and people-first mindset. They specialize in interior build-outs, renovations, and tenant improvements within commercial, government, and multifamily sectors and are looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional eager to grow within a collaborative preconstruction team.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior construction projects
Perform quantity takeoffs for interior scopes including framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, finishes, and millwork
Review drawings, specifications, and addenda for interior build-outs and renovations
Support the solicitation and leveling of subcontractor and supplier bids
Help develop budgets, scope breakdowns, and bid packages
Participate in value engineering and cost analysis efforts
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in estimating or interior construction (commercial, government, or multifamily preferred)
Exposure to interior build-outs, tenant improvements, or renovation projects
Strong understanding of interior finishes and related trades
Familiarity with takeoff and estimating software preferred
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
