Civil Litigation Attorney – Construction Defect & Business Litigation

A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Washington team. This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney with at least five years of civil litigation experience and a background in construction defect, business litigation, or related civil litigation matters.

The firm offers the opportunity to handle substantive litigation matters while working remotely and managing a caseload that will vary based on your experience.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution

  • Handle construction defect and business litigation matters

  • Develop case strategy and independently manage assigned cases

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses and other legal documents

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Participate in hearings, mediations and other proceedings

  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel and other parties

  • Conduct legal research and prepare for litigation proceedings

  • Maintain an organized and manageable caseload

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience

  • Experience with construction defect and/or business litigation

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Experience handling litigation matters with a high degree of independence

  • Strong oral advocacy and communication skills

  • Active Washington State Bar license

  • Ability to effectively manage deadlines and competing priorities

Compensation & Benefits

  • $110,000–$180,000, depending on experience

  • 1,800 annual billable hours

  • Full benefits package

  • Fully remote position
