Position: Attorney – Insurance Coverage & Litigation Location: Burlington, Vermont (Fully Onsite – No Remote Option) Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Experience Level: Mid-Level (4+ Years Preferred)
About the Role: Join a well-established legal team in Burlington, VT, focused on high-stakes insurance coverage and litigation. You'll work directly with clients across domestic and international markets, advising on complex policy interpretation and litigating coverage disputes, including bad faith claims and multi-district litigation exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigate complex insurance coverage cases, including bad faith claims
Advise insurers on multi-district litigation risks and strategies
Analyze and interpret a wide range of policies (GL, D&O, Cyber, EPLI, etc.)
Engage in motion practice, discovery, and settlement strategy
Serve as a trusted advisor to insurer clients across jurisdictions
Qualifications:
4+ years of litigation or insurance coverage experience (flexible for the right candidate)
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Experience in policy analysis, contract interpretation, and coverage litigation
JD from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice in Vermont, or eligible for admission by waiver or reciprocity
Must be willing to relocate to Burlington, VT (Relocation assistance available)

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $85,000–$110,000/year depending on experience
