Business/Commercial Litigation Associate (2–7 Years)
Location: Fairfax, VA
Work Arrangement: Fully In-Office

A respected trial team in the DC metro region is seeking an Associate with 2–7 years of business/commercial litigation experience to join their growing practice. The lawyers in this group focus on complex litigation across Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia and frequently serve as co-counsel to national and international law firms handling matters in federal and state courts.

This role is ideal for a driven litigator who can immediately take ownership of matters, manage demanding caseloads, and thrive working on sophisticated business disputes. This is not a mentorship-focused position — the team is looking for an attorney prepared to contribute from day one.

Position Details:
• 2–7 years of business/commercial litigation experience
• Located in Fairfax, VA (fully in-office)
• 160 billable hours/month
• Compensation: $120K–$170K+ based on experience
• Discretionary bonus structure
• Opportunity to work on complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts
• Routinely interfaces with national and international firms as litigation co-counsel
• Requires strong initiative and ability to work independently

Candidate Profile:
• Solid commercial/business litigation background
• Proven ability to manage pleadings, motions, discovery, and court appearances
• Strong writing, strategic thinking, and case management skills
• Able to “hit the ground running” with minimal oversight
• Open to candidates from insurance coverage backgrounds
• Not considering candidates solely from insurance defense practices
