Transportation Engineer

A well-established, locally owned engineering firm in Louisiana is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Transportation Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join its transportation department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join a team of dedicated engineers focused on delivering innovative infrastructure solutions across the state. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design transportation improvements including alignments, drainage, signage, and construction phasing.
  • Apply knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes while collaborating on multi-project teams.
  • Prepare reports, construction plans, permits, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in public meetings, client presentations, bidding, and construction phase tasks.
  • Support project closeout and maintain consistent communication with clients and stakeholders.

What You’ll Need To Have

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering and PE license (or ability to obtain in Louisiana).
  • 5–10 years of transportation design experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
  • Familiar with stormwater and drainage software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PondPack, etc.).
  • Strong communication, accountability, and ability to represent Evans-Graves professionally.
  • Willingness to travel locally and manage multiple projects in a collaborative team setting.
