Our well-established, engineering consulting firm is seeking a Civil Designer to support land development projects through technical drafting, site design support, and permit documentation. This role does not require professional licensure, providing a great opportunity for design-oriented engineers or technicians to grow within a hands-on, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of grading plans, utility layouts, and site design details.
- Produce and revise civil drawings and technical plans using Civil 3D or similar design software.
- Support development of stormwater management, erosion control, and utility design plans.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to incorporate client and regulatory feedback.
- Prepare permit packages and technical documentation for municipal and regulatory review.
- Perform drafting and design tasks to support project entitlements and construction documents.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with CAD and Civil 3D (preferred).
- Strong drafting and technical competencies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Interest in land development site design and permitting (preferred).
- EIT is preferred but not required
