Job Summary:
Manages daily EPS assembly production operations and promotes continuous improvement within areas of accountability. Collaborates with sales, engineering, purchasing, and quality to ensure customer orders are delivered in a timely manner. Other areas of responsibility include oversight of shipping and receiving. Effective at communicating and establishing a clear path for future growth. Performs other duties as assigned.

EPS Coordinator, Assembly Personnel, Lead Persons, and Associates in all areas of responsibility
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directly manages EPS Assembly Department;
• Establishes and maintains business relationships with local market clients;
• Promotes ESI products on all customer interactions;
• Collaborates with sales department on projected delivery dates for new orders;
• Ensures customer orders are shipped in a timely manner;
• Analyzes root causes of delayed customer orders to prevent future delays;
• Maintains balanced workload in assembly
• Collaborates with foundry, engineering, quality, sales, and information systems (IS) departments on process improvements;
• Implements process improvements in all areas of responsibility;
• Develops department performance metrics: Efficiency, throughput, and direct or indirect;
• Work to abolish the status quo; must be a strong communicator;
• Trains supervisors and lead persons to identify wastes and drive cost-effective methodologies;
• Identifies gaps within assembly personnel and fosters a team environment. Welcomes the voice of the people and leads new ideas;
• Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates risks;
• Evaluates and approves engineering change orders and bill of material requirements;
• Identifies and implements assembly operating procedures and work instructions;
• Administers policies and procedures relative to Assembly, Personnel, and Environmental, Health and Safety;
• Involved with the selection, hiring and development of new and existing employees;
• Monitors and evaluates employee performance and provides appropriate feedback and performance reviews;
• Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position;
• Fully comply with and enforce company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations; and
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:
Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:
Experience/Training/Education:
Equivalent to bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Technology, or equivalent; 5-8 years of experience in assembly floor management; considerable knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques in assembly; experience in budgeting practices; considerable training and experience in mechanics and assembly applications; training in hiring, discipline, personnel evaluation, and termination practices; and training in affirmative action plans and principles.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Capacity to evaluate, in writing or verbally, others’ abilities and productivity;
• Communicates effectively and networks with management, supervision, employees, sales, quality, engineering, purchasing and other internal/external resources;
• Must be able to formulate changes in assembly processes or justify changes in equipment to affect those processes;
• Ability to lead, develop, prioritize, and delegate work;
• Requires knowledge on fixturing concepts for assembly and installation requirements;
• Experience in implementing automation systems where appropriate to improve productivity and reduce labor expenses.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; o Ability to access and oversee work performed in different production areas;
o Must be able to read, understand, and interpret technical data;
• Ability to lift, move, and carry tools and materials weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted; o Lifting, moving, or carrying tools and materials weighing over 25 pounds requires assistance by a co-worker or lifting equipment;
• Ability to stretch, bend and reach work areas;
