Tax Senior Manager - Private Client

Location: Pasadena, CA (or Los Angeles / Calabasas, CA)

Overview

A large national accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its private client services practice in Pasadena, California (Los Angeles and Calabasas also listed). You will oversee tax planning and compliance for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, with emphasis on clients in financial services such as hedge funds and private equity, and collaborate closely with partners in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team, foster client relationships and help build a sustainable practice
• Oversee tax planning and compliance for ultra-high net worth individuals and their families
• Apply knowledge of hedge fund K-1 treatment and a working understanding of trusts, estates, gifts and charitable entities
• Deliver tax planning, consulting and compliance solutions directly to clients
• Perform primary review of complex tax returns
• Train, supervise and review the work of staff
• Pursue new client relationships and participate in client seminars

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience serving high net worth individuals
• Recent public accounting experience
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent required
• Master's in taxation preferred
• Experience growing a book of business and using CCH Axcess preferred
