Tax Manager - Private Client

Location: Fort Myers, FL (or Minneapolis, MN)

Overview

A large national accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its private client services practice, which serves family-owned and closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. Fort Myers, Florida is a listed location (Minneapolis also considered); hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and develop associates and seniors
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and other entities
• Build relationships with clients and firm leadership
• Take responsibility for accurate time and billing for self and team
• Develop working knowledge of client businesses and meet client deadlines
• Pursue new client relationships and participate in client seminars
• Stay current on tax law and apply new knowledge to engagements
• Mentor and coach junior team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
• 4+ years of tax compliance and/or consulting experience in public accounting or a public/corporate mix
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent required
• Master's in taxation preferred
• GoSystems or CCH Axcess experience preferred
