Insurance Defense Attorney: Courtroom-Focused Defense Practice in St. Petersburg

Our client, an established Pinellas County defense firm, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience for its St. Petersburg office. Attorneys defend insureds and carriers in auto, premises liability, negligent security, and general liability matters throughout the Tampa Bay area.

This is an in-office role in St. Petersburg. You will collaborate daily with partners and a seasoned litigation support team.

What You'll Do

• Manage a docket of insurance defense matters from assignment to resolution
• Draft answers, motions, discovery responses, and detailed carrier reports
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and medical providers
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials in state court
• Assess liability and damages and recommend case strategy

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines
• Confidence in depositions and courtroom settings
• Commitment to working in office in St. Petersburg
