COMMERICAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

THE COMPANY:

This company has a well established project backlog and repeat client base, owing to their development and core values as an organization.  They have grown regional and even nationally requested builder. They have completed projects in manufacturing, industrial, restaurants, entertainment venues, educational, retail, religious, healthcare, offices, recreational and community facilities, medical, wine & spirits, as well as hospitality and entertainment markets.

We are looking for a diligent, task-oriented individual who enjoys producing work at The Highest Standard of quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will possess extensive construction knowledge, be extremely detail oriented and be driven to achieve operational efficiencies while always being one step ahead.

SUPERINTENDENT SUMMARY

The Construction Superintendent, you will plan, direct and coordinate activities pertaining to the construction, renovation, and maintenance of an assigned Commercial, industrial, municipal, and multi-family projects in accordance with company policies, property documents, and governmental regulations. Ultimately, the Construction Superintendents duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet The Highest Standard.

SUPERINTENDENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the project manager with conducting property inspections, obtaining all necessary permits and meeting and/or beating budgets.

  • Coordinates with the property manager in scheduling inspections with local building inspectors and local fire authorities.

  • Meets with existing building maintenance staff upon closing to ensure necessary punch items and scope has been met.

  • Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates are met and proper trade partners are secured and notified.

  • Ensure all safety policies are followed by THS employees and trade partners

  • Inspects property and units under construction regularly to ensure the work conforms to specifications, budget and schedule and initiates any repair or replacement needs and/or adjustment of working procedures. Regularly communicates with the project team regarding unit and property improvement status.

  • Assists PM in approving some invoices pertaining to the construction project

  • Ensure work done per schedule per contract on time on budget with proper scope of work.

  • Document all daily/weekly reports in Procore for PM and customers.

  • Assists in procuring materials, trade partners, and vendors for projects.

SUPERINTENDENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.

  • Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.
