Your Key Responsibilities:

As an HVAC Estimator and Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role by:

  • Manage entire mechanical construction projects from conception to completion.

  • Coordinate with a diverse project team, including engineering, VDC (BIM) designers, scheduler, field foremen, customers, and subcontractors.

  • Possess a deep understanding of projects for efficient material ordering, subcontracting, billing, and management of RFIs, change orders, and submittals.

  • Oversee fabrication shop work packages, ensuring a clear grasp of content, including detail drawing review, material take-off, buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget.

  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Proactively plan, resolve issues, and ensure contractual conditions are met, while working with Senior Project Manager and team for mentorship and training.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ Years of HVAC Estimating / Project Management Experience: A robust foundation in HVAC and/or Piping estimating and project management is essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Diverse Project Portfolio: Showcase your adaptability with demonstrated experience in a variety of project types, including higher education, government, healthcare, industrial, and commercial building projects.

  • Estimation Expertise: Proficiency in estimating HVAC project costs, crafting cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, researching materials, reading blueprints, evaluating bids, and preparing proposals.

  • Industry Awareness: Keeping up-to-date with current industry trends to remain competitive.

  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration.

  • Code and Specification Knowledge: Familiarity with energy codes and project specifications.

  • Organizational Skills: Maintaining well-organized records of completed estimates.
