Qualifications for Electrical Estimator:
New Electrical Construction and renovations/large scale projects with confidence in preparing estimates from quantity take-off on project and complete estimate to computer printout
5+ years experience in Electrical construction as acting Estimator or Lead Estimator, prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes
Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects, evaluate areas for potential value engineering cost savings
Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
Monitor the compliance to applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications, QA/QC policies
Will regularly interact with clients to understand and interpret their requirements and needs when representing them in the field
Computer skills and Advanced Microsoft office skills, read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings
Knowledge of regulations, project rules, performance standards and best practices, Identify parts of project that may be key to making a competitive estimate
Electrical Construction Focus in Commercial, Industrial and Residential experience is all preferred!
