Responsibilities/Accountabilities

1. Leadership and Management of Business Operations
a. Manage the day-to-day operational management of Business Operations
b. In collaboration with the Director of Operations, develop and execute an annual Operational Plan that meets strategic and operational goals, and continuous improvement opportunities
c. Mentor staff and manage business functions including overseeing team’s commitment to:
i. Excellent client and customer standards
ii. Maintaining relevant industry and other standards
iii. Understanding needs and maximizing client and customer outcomes
d. Coordinate with and escalate to, the Director of Operations, strategic and operational issues and risks for the business operations in a timely manner
e. Provide monthly reports to the Director on business operations
2. Finance
a. Work collaboratively with the VP, Finance to ensure accounting procedures and financial risk management controls are monitored and reviewed in line with industry practice and recommend appropriate enhancements to the Director
b. Manage service provider contracts for Business Operations
c. Coordinate preparation of the capital and operation budget process and monitor activity throughout the year to ensure capital and operating expense are controlled according to the budgeted plan
d. Work with service team to control direct costs and help driver revenue with the sales team
3. Organizational Development

a. Maintain alertness to developmental opportunities including:
i. opportunities to offer additional services to existing or potential clients
b. Support sales team with marketing initiatives and organizational development activities as required
c. Monitor and review system material management procedures to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
4. Staff Supervision, Development & Mentoring
a. Provide or organize the provision of technical introduction for new staff regarding job completion, reporting, quality management and other related workflow processes
b. Delegate work appropriately to team members ensuring it is within appropriate levels of capability and capacity
c. Liaise with HR to coordinate training & development requirements for team
d. Conduct annual cooperative planning with all direct reports
5. Quality Management
a. Organize and direct quality work efforts through the use of effective planning, goal setting, KPI and Performance development, monitoring and performance reporting
b. Oversee and direct Coral’s maintenance program

Experience/Education/Training

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a senior operations role
  • Extensive multi-leveled experience with best practices, policies, and procedures in the HVAC field to gain detailed understanding of all levels of operations and showing steady career progression
  • A degree or college diploma in business, technical or management
  • HVAC License A Plus
  • Red Seal HVAC Refrigetion Certifaction/License 
  • Gas B Ticket a Plus
