A highly respected New Hampshire law firm is seeking a Municipal Attorney to join its established and growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in advising municipalities, public boards, and local government entities on a wide range of complex and meaningful legal matters.

Position Highlights

  • Advise municipalities, boards, commissions, and public agencies on a variety of legal matters
  • Provide counsel on governance, land use, zoning, regulatory compliance, contracts, and municipal operations
  • Attend public meetings and assist with policy interpretation and legal guidance
  • Draft ordinances, resolutions, agreements, and other municipal documents
  • Represent municipal clients in administrative proceedings, litigation, and negotiations as needed
  • Work closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative and professionally rewarding environment
  • Opportunity for long-term growth within a respected municipal law practice

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of municipal, administrative, litigation, or public-sector legal experience preferred
  • Licensed and in good standing with the New Hampshire Bar
  • Additional New England bar admissions are a plus
  • Strong research, writing, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience attending public meetings, advising boards, or handling regulatory matters is preferred
  • Ability to independently manage matters while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Portable book of business is welcomed, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package ranging from $90,000–$130,000+ depending on experience and credentials
  • Additional compensation consideration available for attorneys with significant municipal law experience or an established client base
