Senior Associate Attorney – Medical Malpractice / Personal Injury Litigation (4–8 Years)

Our firm is seeking a motivated Senior Associate Attorney to join its Kansas City litigation practice.

This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who is comfortable taking ownership of cases and seeing them through from intake to resolution, including active participation at trial. The firm is looking for someone who can manage a demanding docket with confidence, professionalism, and minimal supervision.

Practice Focus: Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Litigation

The Opportunity

  • Handle medical malpractice and personal injury litigation matters from intake through resolution

  • Take responsibility for a busy litigation docket with minimal oversight

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive filings

  • Conduct and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

  • Prepare cases for trial and actively participate in trial proceedings

  • Maintain direct client relationships and provide strategic legal guidance

  • Work collaboratively with firm leadership while independently managing assigned matters

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 4–8 years of litigation experience with a focus on medical malpractice and/or personal injury

  • Proven ability to manage files independently and efficiently

  • Superior legal research and writing skills

  • Unimpeachable ethics and a strong sense of professional responsibility

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri Bar (or eligible for licensure)
