Our highly regarded and well-established Utah law firm is seeking an Attorney to join our Business litigation and advisory team. The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication skills while maintaining a client-focused approach to their cases. As an integral member of our team, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of the litigation process as well as advise clients on legal and business transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 1600 billable hours a year
  • Prepare legal briefs, handle discovery, hearings and so forth for civil commercial litigation
  • Often involves multi-state parties
  • Often intellectual property parties
  • You will represent clients in court and mediation proceedings
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience
  • Utah Bar License (required); Texas and/or California Bar License would be beneficial but not required
  • Excellent writing/drafting skills for civil litigation
  • Abilities with various pleadings and discovery documents
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Ability to advise clients on legal and business transactions
  • Familiarity with various legal research for litigation
  • Strong understanding deadlines and time frames
