Concrete Estimator Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates for commercial construction concrete projects
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare project estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of estimates
- Utilize estimating software and tools to create detailed cost breakdowns
- Monitor and track project costs and budgets throughout the duration of projects
Concrete Estimator Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments for each project
- Develop relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure all aspects of the estimate align with project requirements
- Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiation processes
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and building codes to ensure accurate estimates
Concrete Estimator Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction concrete projects
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
