An industry-leading agricultural organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic an Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of an Ag distribution center. This critical leadership role ensures that the facility operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while driving team engagement and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily facility operations, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and address workplace hazards, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Analyze sales forecasts to align operational objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and manage the facility's operational budget.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and movement of products.
  • Schedule and monitor regular maintenance of facilities and equipment to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Oversee facility compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable regulations.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that encourages growth and development.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and recognition to employees.
  • Lead change by sharing insights, explaining processes, and promoting transparency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a role model for organizational values.
  • Hold team members accountable while actively engaging and empowering them.
  • Develop and communicate performance metrics, ensuring team alignment and accountability.
  • Celebrate team successes and address performance issues consistently and promptly.
  • Create opportunities for collaboration and professional development within the team.

Operations Manger Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in agriculture management.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to oversee and address facility and equipment needs.
  • Experience leading safety initiatives and implementing business improvement strategies.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.
