Job Description:
As a Metal Building Software Detailer, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and plans for metal building construction projects. You will use the MBS (Metal Building Software) program to accurately detail and design structural elements of these buildings. The role requires a deep understanding of the construction process, metal building systems, and the ability to create precise, error-free plans and drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Detail and design metal building systems using MBS software, including structural components, framing, roofing, and wall systems.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to create accurate detail drawings for fabrication and construction.
- Ensure all details comply with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to review project requirements and clarify any design discrepancies.
- Prepare shop drawings and material lists based on MBS software data.
- Resolve any technical issues or design changes as they arise during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized records and document changes to ensure accurate project tracking.
- Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and best practices to provide high-quality work and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience detailing metal building construction projects using the MBS (Metal Building Software) program.
- Strong proficiency in MBS software and a thorough understanding of metal building systems.
- Experience creating detailed drawings and plans for structural, roofing, and wall systems.
- Solid understanding of construction practices, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce precise, error-free work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing project needs.
