Tax Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for businesses, individuals, and trusts
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance to clients and staff
• Develop and maintain client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
• Train and mentor staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development

Tax Manager Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Analyze client financial information to identify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategies to minimize tax liability
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice to clients
• Collaborate with other departments to identify cross-functional opportunities and provide integrated solutions for clients
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation for tax compliance purposes

Tax Manager Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax
• CPA certification is preferred
• Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively engage with clients
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
