Job Title: Inside Sales / Project Coordinator

Location: MN (Near lower Red Lake) - Relocation is available for the right candidate

Job Summary

As an Inside Sales / Project Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers walking through the door, calling in, or requesting quotes online. You’ll provide expert building materials knowledge, guide customers on project needs, and prepare detailed estimates and material packages. Beyond the counter, you’ll support outside sales reps, partner with vendors on pricing, and coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time delivery.

This role blends inside sales, project coordination, and customer service — making it an ideal fit for someone with building materials experience and the ability to read blueprints who thrives on problem-solving, relationship-building, and driving results.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist walk-in customers with product expertise, project guidance, and material recommendations

· Prepare estimates, bids, takeoffs, and detailed building material lists using plans and specifications

· Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to generate accurate quotes

· Follow up on online quotes and conduct outbound calls to qualify new leads and convert sales

· Partner with vendors to confirm pricing, negotiate terms, and ensure product availability

· Support Outside Sales Representatives by preparing bids, coordinating deliveries, and handling project details

· Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to schedule and track deliveries

· Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and resolving shortages/overages

· Maintain accurate sales records, quotes, and customer communications in the system

Training & Support

Each Inside Sales Representative completes structured training to learn our POS system, internal processes, and product paperwork.

Requirements

· Building materials background is required

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints/construction drawings

· Experience in sales, customer service, or project coordination within construction supply/distribution

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

· Strong attention to detail with proven estimating and takeoff ability

· Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and meets sales/profit goals
