Our client is an established concrete and site construction contractor in West Central Texas. They're growing and adding an Estimator to keep up with demand. You'll have a direct line to leadership and a real say in which work the company pursues and wins. The role is based in Brownwood, TX, and candidates relocating from Houston, Austin, DFW, El Paso, and elsewhere in Texas are welcome.
- Review plans, specs and bid documents for concrete and site work
- Do quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, forms and earthwork
- Price labor, materials and equipment, and gather subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Put together accurate, competitive bids by the deadline
- Keep in touch with general contractors and owners
- Hand off awarded projects to operations and support budgeting
- 3+ years estimating in concrete, site work or general construction
- Strong plan reading and takeoff skills
- Experience with software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift or HCSS
- A field background in concrete is a plus
- Base salary of $100,000 - $140,000, depending on experience
