Audit Manager

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Overview

A large national accounting and consulting firm is seeking an Audit Manager in St. Louis, Missouri. You will manage multiple client engagements, including audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements, and serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagement workflow and deliverables for multiple clients, including audits, reviews, compilations, internal control and management letters
• Lead engagement planning, including timing, resources, risk assessment and internal control reliance
• Identify and resolve accounting and audit technical issues; research complex issues and prepare memos
• Review workpapers and deliverables to ensure firm and professional standards are met
• Determine staffing needs, delegate to supervisors and keep partners informed on budget and status
• Assist with fee quotes, budgets, billing and collections
• Prepare presentations for audit exits, audit committees and board meetings
• Support practice development, proposals and networking
• Provide feedback, career counseling and mentoring to less experienced professionals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; master's preferred
• CPA license
• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• Assurance leadership or supervisory experience required
• Advanced understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAS
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
