Tax Manager - Corporate

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Coral Gables, FL also considered)

Overview

A large national advisory, assurance and tax firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its core tax services team in the Fort Lauderdale / Coral Gables market. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, manage complex corporate tax engagements, identify planning opportunities and develop high-performing tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact, managing relationships, communications, deadlines and deliverables
• Manage client tax compliance, anticipate tax and business issues and identify planning opportunities
• Lead tax engagements from planning through delivery, ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness
• Review complex C corporation income tax returns and oversee corporate tax compliance engagements
• Manage and review ASC 740 income tax provisions
• Coach, mentor and develop associates, seniors and other team members and deliver regular performance feedback
• Collaborate across service lines to provide integrated solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's in accounting or taxation preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 4+ years of public accounting experience, including managing engagements and leading teams
• Strong C corporation taxation and corporate income tax compliance experience
• Experience reviewing and managing ASC 740 income tax provisions
• Strong leadership, project management, organizational and client relationship skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
