Associate Attorney — Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditor's Rights

A well-established, full-service law firm with one of the largest Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditor's Rights practice groups in the state of Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven attorney to work alongside a highly regarded group handling sophisticated bankruptcy and insolvency matters across the region.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is an attorney with 2 to 9 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditor's rights, or related insolvency work. This attorney will have the opportunity to represent a diverse client base including secured and unsecured lenders, creditors' committees, debtors, and trustees in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as bankruptcy-related litigation. The role also involves out-of-court workouts, receiverships, business restructuring, and representation of purchasers of distressed assets — with a strong presence in the energy sector.

What You Will Do

As an associate attorney on this team, you will handle all aspects of the debtor/creditor relationship both inside and outside of bankruptcy. You will draft and review complex legal documents, appear in bankruptcy court, advise clients on restructuring strategies, and collaborate with a team of experienced shareholders and fellow attorneys to deliver creative legal solutions to challenging financial situations.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 2 to 9 years of bankruptcy experience, including Chapter 7, 11, and/or 13 matters
  • Active bar admission in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain admission)
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in bankruptcy litigation, creditor's rights, or distressed asset transactions is a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement
  • A collaborative, supportive team environment within one of the region's premier bankruptcy and restructuring groups
  • Meaningful work with real clients navigating complex financial challenges
  • Clear path for growth within the firm

This firm operates offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Denver, and Northwest Arkansas, offering attorneys the stability of a well-resourced firm with the culture of a team that genuinely invests in its people. If you are a talented attorney looking to grow your bankruptcy practice in an environment that values both excellence and collaboration, we want to hear from you.
