Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense | Downtown Miami

A well-established insurance defense firm in Downtown Miami is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in first- and third-party property, construction defect, and insurance coverage litigation. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated matters in a supportive environment, with a reasonable 1800-hour billable requirement and some flexibility for occasional remote work, though the position is primarily in-office.

What They’re Looking For

  • 1+ years of insurance defense litigation experience (first- and third-party property, construction defect, and/or coverage preferred)

  • Strong background in litigation, including drafting motions, depositions, mediations, and hearings

  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while working closely with supervising partners and clients

  • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing

What You’ll Do

  • Defend clients in first- and third-party property, construction defect, and coverage matters

  • Conduct discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for state and federal courts

  • Develop litigation strategies tailored to client objectives

  • Maintain proactive communication with insurers, carriers, and corporate clients
