Tax Manager

Location: Red Bank, NJ

Overview

A top national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Red Bank. You will take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and build and maintain client relationships alongside an experienced team of CPAs.

Responsibilities

• Review individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns prepared by staff and seniors
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Oversee tax research projects for clients across diverse industries
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines
• Supervise and mentor staff, including evaluation discussions
• Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA license, JD or Master of Science in Taxation required
• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including leading engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills
• Ability to travel as needed
