Job Description

CNC Machinist - Precision Manufacturing – Complex Parts – Growth Opportunity

We’re seeking a productive, quality-focused CNC Machinist. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership from setup through inspection, continually sharpens their skills, and supports a strong team culture on the shop floor.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts to print.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and GD&T to plan tooling, setups, and machining operations.
  • Perform machining operations as assigned, meet or beat job schedules, and correctly use the timekeeping system.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools; complete required inspection forms and clear turnover notes for the next shift.
  • Identify and report nonconformances, tool or machine issues, and safety concerns immediately.
  • Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and stocked with the correct tooling and fixtures.
  • Assist, guide, and help train apprentices and lower-level machinists; contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.
  • Continuously improve your own skills in print reading, CNC programming, geometric tolerances, and machine setups.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED; additional technical/machining training is a plus.
  • 2+ years of machining experience (CNC mills and/or lathes); strong fundamental setup and operation skills.
  • Solid blueprint reading skills, including basic GD&T and machining math.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate, legible documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and reliability—especially on a 2nd shift schedule.
  • Willingness to learn Mastercam and more advanced CNC programming techniques over time.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

If you’re a hands-on CNC Machinist who takes pride in doing the job right and wants room to grow your skills on 2nd shift, we’d like to talk with you.
