Senior Corporate Attorney

One of our top clients, a respected full-service law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Senior Corporate Attorney to step into long-standing relationships with sophisticated clients as senior partners transition them. A full book of business isn't required, and there's room to keep growing your practice. The firm practices across land use, real estate, construction, business, employment, corporate finance, litigation and bankruptcy, and is known for a culture built on respect, collegiality and genuine care.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on a wide range of corporate matters, including M&A, finance, corporate governance and securities compliance
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements
• Ensure compliance with federal and state securities laws and other regulations
• Coordinate with outside counsel as needed
• Supervise and train junior attorneys, legal assistants and paralegals
• Take part in corporate group meetings, firm events and business development

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree and JD from accredited institutions
• Current WSBA membership (licensed to practice in Washington)
• 10+ years of practice as a corporate attorney
• Strong knowledge of M&A, finance, corporate governance and securities law
• Proven ability to develop business
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-attorneys
• Strong organization and project management under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
