A growing, collegial private practice law firm in Sugar Land, TX, is hiring an associate for its probate practice. You'll work directly with a partner who carries 100 to 150 active matters.
Responsibilities
- Handle guardianship matters, both contested and uncontested
- Work on probate litigation and business litigation matters
- Manage uncontested probate matters
- Support a partner's active docket of 100 to 150 matters, with strong motion practice
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience in probate, contested or uncontested
- Litigators from outside probate are welcome if they already have strong motion practice skills
- Self-starters who take initiative, are willing to take risks, and learn from their mistakes
- Billable hour requirement for this position: 1,500 hours per year
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary of $110,000 to $165,000+, depending on experience
- Tiered performance bonus
- Salary reviews on each work anniversary

- Health insurance fully paid for the employee, with optional family coverage paid by the employee
Work arrangement
Full-time, in office in Sugar Land (no remote or hybrid).
