Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of large-scale ground-up commercial projects. This individual will oversee all phases of construction, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple ground-up commercial construction projects ($10M+) from inception to completion
- Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Drive preconstruction efforts including estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, and performance
- Monitor project financials, including cost control, change orders, and risk management
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and company policies
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on ground-up projects
- Proven experience managing retail, grocery, or large commercial projects ($10M+)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control
- Experience with preconstruction and estimating processes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Sage, MS Project, etc.)
