Job Description

Construction Superintendent — Commercial Projects ($5M+)

Location: Local & regional projects (limited travel)
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site
Industry: Commercial Construction | Ground-Up & Renovation | $5M–$50M

Role Overview

A respected Commercial General Contractor with a strong local reputation and a healthy backlog is hiring a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on $5M+ commercial projects. If you deliver on time, on budget, and beyond expectations—while keeping safety and quality non-negotiable—this is your next step.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the jobsite from mobilization to closeout: schedule, budget, quality, and safety.

  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and punch to keep work flowing.

  • Maintain up-to-date project schedules (3-week look-aheads) and proactively remove roadblocks.

  • Enforce company and OSHA safety standards; drive zero-incident culture.

  • Oversee QA/QC: drawings/specs compliance, RFIs, submittals, and field documentation.

  • Run effective daily huddles and weekly OAC meetings; keep clients informed and confident.

  • Manage start-up, commissioning, and turnover with complete closeout documentation.

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years as a Superintendent on commercial projects (healthcare, office, retail, K-12/higher ed, municipal, light industrial, etc.).

  • Proven wins on $5M+ projects with schedule reliability and cost control.

  • Strong field leadership: you coach crews, align subs, and anticipate risks.

  • Deep knowledge of means & methods, sequencing, and site logistics.

  • Command of safety procedures and regulations with a track record of enforcement.

  • Proficiency with Procore (or similar), Bluebeam, MS Project/Primavera, and standard construction docs.

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Signature projects with real community impact—no cookie-cutter builds.

  • Empowered culture with quick decisions and support from A-players.

  • Clear career runway with a builder known for quality, not corners.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Top-of-market pay commensurate with experience.

  • Comprehensive health coverage and company benefits.

  • Positive, organized, low-ego environment with mentorship and continuing education.
