Job Description

Join a steel fabricator and erector serving Pleasant Valley and the greater Kansas City Northland as its next Estimator / Project Manager. The team works on structural and miscellaneous steel packages, and this role is ideal for an early- to mid-career professional who likes winning work and then leading it in the shop and the field.

Day to day, you'll:

• Lead awarded projects through fabrication and erection, handling schedule, budget, and change orders
• Keep detailers, field crews, the shop, and general contractors aligned
• Develop takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Assemble bids and proposals that include detailing, erection, and coatings quotes
• Manage submittals and RFIs and monitor job costs

About you:

• Experience with estimating software is a plus
• Skilled at reading architectural and structural drawings
• 2-8 years in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction role
• Knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• Preferably a degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000 annually, with a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates coming from competitors.
