Job Title: Burn Table Operator

Position Summary:

The Burn Table Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC burn tables to cut, shape, and prepare metal materials according to blueprints and specifications. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety while meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC burn tables (plasma or oxy-fuel cutting machines).

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements.

  • Select and load appropriate materials and cutting tools.

  • Inspect cut parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as needed.

  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or irregularities.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety policies.

  • Document production data, including quantities, materials used, and any defects.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.

  • Previous experience operating CNC burn tables, plasma cutters, or related machinery preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.

  • Knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and cutting parameters.

  • Basic math, measuring, and computer skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

  • Prolonged standing, bending, and walking in a manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to heat, noise, and metal dust (proper PPE provided).

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time; shifts may vary based on production needs.

  • Overtime as required.
