A respected firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney to join its Charlotte office. This role offers hands-on litigation experience and the opportunity to manage a meaningful caseload with partner support.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Manage a workers’ compensation caseload from start to resolution
🔹 Conduct legal analysis and case strategy development
🔹 Take depositions of parties, medical providers, and experts
🔹 Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations
🔹 Draft motions, briefs, and discovery responses
🔹 Attend and argue hearings before the Industrial Commission
🔹 Review medical records and investigate claims
🔹 Maintain ongoing communication with clients, insurers, and risk managers
Qualifications:
✅ Active North Carolina Bar License
✅ 2+ years of Workers’ Compensation experience required
✅ Strong legal writing and research skills
✅ Deposition and mediation experience preferred
✅ Excellent communication and client management skills
✅ Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
