Tax Manager / Director

Location: Saint Louis, MO (Kansas City, MO also considered)

Overview

A national professional services and CPA firm is hiring a Tax Manager or Director for its growing St. Louis office (Kansas City is also an option). This role consults with clients on succession and tax planning and leads, supervises and reviews corporate and individual tax engagements.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning
• Lead, schedule, supervise and review tax engagements
• Perform a range of tax procedures based on the size and complexity of the engagement
• Review complex individual and corporate tax returns
• Develop and train team members
• Build industry expertise and attend industry events and training

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm; 10+ years highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Active CPA (JD or EA may be accepted in place of CPA)
• A passion for public accounting and corporate tax
