Tax Manager / Senior Manager

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Overview

A national tax, audit, advisory and business management CPA firm is hiring a Tax Manager / Senior Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah. The firm serves high-net-worth individuals and families, middle-market companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, and offers a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, flow-through entities, corporations and trusts, and related workpapers
• Work closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and tax planning
• Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements and supervise workflow
• Research complex technical tax issues and provide solutions
• Lead and train teams of seniors and staff accountants throughout engagements
• Ensure quality of work product and communicate progress between partners and staff
• Coach and mentor team members and take part in performance evaluations
• Handle firm administrative responsibilities such as client billings

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree; master's degree a plus
• CPA certificate
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in taxation of partnerships, LLCs and other flow-through entities and high-net-worth individuals
• Strong organizational, management, research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced project management skills; working knowledge of GoSystem a plus
