Opportunity: Family Law Lawyer
Location: Vancouver
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 base (salary or fee-split model, plus performance-based incentives)

A well-established and forward-thinking firm is seeking a seasoned Family Law Lawyer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a practitioner with 5+ years of experience in family law who thrives in a supportive, client-centred environment and values the opportunity to take leadership on files and mentor others. A partial or full portable book of business is preferred but not essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A strong foundation in family law litigation and negotiation, including contested and uncontested divorce, parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, and property division.

  • Proven experience managing complex files from intake through to resolution, whether through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation.

  • A high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and professionalism when working with clients navigating challenging life events.

  • Strong advocacy, drafting, and analytical skills, with an ability to provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a full caseload of family law matters independently.

  • Drafting pleadings, affidavits, separation agreements, and other court materials.

  • Representing clients at hearings, conferences, and mediations.

  • Staying current with developments in family law and contributing to strategic file planning.

  • Collaborating with colleagues and mentoring junior associates as appropriate.
