Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Agronomy Sales person to join our team. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, providing agronomic expertise, and driving sales through tailored crop input and service solutions. The ideal candidate combines technical agronomy knowledge with a consultative, customer-focused sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers and ag retail customers within assigned territory

  • Provide agronomic recommendations including seed, crop protection, fertilizer, and nutrient management solutions

  • Conduct field scouting, soil sampling, and crop diagnostics to support customer decision-making

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized agronomic and sales strategies

  • Achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service and integrity

  • Stay current on agronomic trends, products, and technologies relevant to the region

  • Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 2–3+ years of experience in agronomy, ag retail sales, or related agricultural role

  • Strong understanding of local crops, soils, and production practices

  • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $50,000–$75,000+ DOE
