Tax Manager
Location: Niceville, FL
Overview
A nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Niceville, Florida. You will provide final technical review on tax returns, lead client relationships and develop staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide final technical review on tax returns and documents for the majority of the client base
- Research tax issues and develop resolutions and recommendations
- Stay current on developments and changes in tax law and accounting procedures
- Plan, organize and coordinate engagements and interface with clients to ensure all deadlines are met
- Direct and support staff activities, set budgets and monitor the quality of work and performance of personnel
- Assign, track and manage tasks and projects prepared by staff and supervisors, and take an active role in their development
- Build internal and external networks to develop new business opportunities
- Manage real-time and monthly billing and collections and monitor WIP, aging and write-downs
- Facilitate and participate in in-house CPE and training
Qualifications
- CPA, EA or JD required (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and prioritize a heavy workload
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
