We are seeking a 2nd shift Moldmaker:
Company Overview: Join a family-owned industry leader in precision plastics mold making with over 100 years of expertise. Our 45,000 sq ft facility specializes in the construction, repair, modification, and sampling of high-precision injection molds.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot both large and small injection molds
Disassemble and assemble mold components; perform fine machining, polishing, texturing, and alignment work
Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings; conduct precise layouts using trigonometry and precision measuring tools
Operate CNC mills, lathes, EDM machines, surface grinders, and spotting presses
Maintain detailed logs; prepare molds for production and perform quality inspections
Identify and resolve mold defects, such as flashing, venting, or cooling issues
Fabricate and fit spare parts and tooling; support mold revisions as needed
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or mold/toolmaking apprenticeship preferred
At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection mold making or tool & die
Skilled in operating machine shop equipment and using precision measuring tools
Strong understanding of blueprints, trigonometry, mechanical systems, and CNC operations
Capable of lifting moderate weights and standing for extended periods during the shift

Comfortable documenting work and collaborating across departments
