Job Description

A Kentucky-based manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer to improve throughput, quality, and cost across key production lines. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys data-driven problem solving and hands-on work on the shop floor.

 Primary Duties

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to reduce scrap, downtime, and cycle time.
  • Develop and optimize standard work, work instructions, and process parameters.
  • Lead trials, capability studies, and DOE to validate process improvements.
  • Support new product introductions, including process layout, equipment selection, and run-at-rate activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations on root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Track KPIs (OEE, yield, throughput) and report progress on continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in a process, manufacturing, or industrial engineering role.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Comfortable using basic analytical tools and statistical methods.
  • Strong CAD and/or layout skills are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work at all levels of the plant.
