Job Description

A growing Residential Home Builder is looking to add an experienced Controller to their team!

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of accounting and financial management experience within the residential construction or home building industry.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all financial operations for the company
• Prepare financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Monitor cash flow, job costing, and overall business performance
• Assist ownership/executive leadership with financial planning and analysis
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, accruals, schedules, general ledger, and tax compliance
• Ensure accurate reporting for residential construction projects and ongoing developments
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls

Controller Qualifications:

• 10+ years of accounting experience in residential construction, home building, or related industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and job costing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting/financial software
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and operational data
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
